IPS, a provider of accounts payable automation solutions and cloud-based workflow services, has announced the hiring of Wells Shammout as its new Director of Information Technology. Mr. Shammout brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise IT to the company from positions and projects in finance and financial regulation, pharmaceuticals and government. With specialization in enterprise systems architecture, development and delivery, he also provides IPS with extensive experience in process re-engineering, data architecture, data standardization and data security.
Prior to joining IPS, Mr. Shammout was Director for Member Regulation Technology at FINRA, where he led a team responsible for surveillance and data analysis applications used to ensure back-office compliance with SEC and FINRA market regulations. He also held positions as a Technical Project Manager with the New York Stock Exchange and as a senior consultant with Delta Corporate Services, where he developed and managed major projects for the General Services Administration, Novartis and Schering Plough.
“IPS is fortunate to have attracted an information technology director with the depth of experience and proven management skills that Wells brings us,” said IPS CEO Greg Bartels. “As we continue to innovate and expand the IPS information technology platform, he will play a vital role in delivering the highest quality of service and value to our customers.”
IPS pioneered the idea that documents could enter the organization as paper, email or electronic files, and become digital assets powering a digital process. In the past two decades, the company has created more than one billion digital records for clients including the world’s top advertising agencies, financial firms, pharmaceutical manufacturers, insurers and information technology companies. For customers, those digital assets and processes cut costs and speed turnaround, reduce legal and financial risks, and improve customer relationships. In a business world where employees may be working anywhere at any time, IPS helps keep them – literally – on the same page. Privately held, IPS is headquartered in Secaucus, New Jersey and manages operations across the United States and around the world. More information is available at www.ipsservices.com.
