IPS, a provider of accounts payable automation solutions and cloud-based workflow services, has announced the hiring of Wells Shammout as its new Director of Information Technology. Mr. Shammout brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise IT to the company from positions and projects in finance and financial regulation, pharmaceuticals and government. With specialization in enterprise systems architecture, development and delivery, he also provides IPS with extensive experience in process re-engineering, data architecture, data standardization and data security.
Prior to joining IPS, Mr. Shammout was Director for Member Regulation Technology at FINRA, where he led a team responsible for surveillance and data analysis applications used to ensure back-office compliance with SEC and FINRA market regulations. He also held positions as a Technical Project Manager with the New York Stock Exchange and as a senior consultant with Delta Corporate Services, where he developed and managed major projects for the General Services Administration, Novartis and Schering Plough.
